Agnieska Budek

Postdoctoral Associate

I am a postdoctoral associate in the Department of Earth and

Environmental Sciences at the University of Minnesota. I earned my Ph.D. from the University of Warsaw in 2016. My research focuses on experimental and numerical modeling to explore processes such as mineral dissolution, viscous fingering, and miscible/immiscible displacements in microfluidic networks. Currently, I am investigating the mechanisms of mineral dissolution and precipitation and developing strategies for in situ carbon mineralization to address environmental challenges.

In my free time, I enjoy arthouse cinema and photography.
