Tracer Lab
Shimadzu RF-6000 Spectrofluorophotometer
Spectrofluorophotometer is used to analyze samples by quantifying the emission wavelength produced by the sample. By obtaining the excitation wavelength curve among with the wavelength interval of a tracer used in an experiment, it is possible to calculate the concentration of the dye tracer in each sample.
200-900 nm scanning wavelength range
emission resolution 1.0 nm
high speed 3D scanning
allows detection of 1 ppt (0.001 ppb) of uranine, 5 ppt (0.005 ppb) of sulforhodamine B, or 10 ppt (0.01 ppb) of eosin
Picarro L2130-i Cabity Ring-down Spectrometer
Picarro is used to measure stable isotropic ratios of oxygen-18 to oxygen-16 and of deuterium to protium in water samples. These ratios can be useful in tracing the origin of water and hydrogeochemical characterization.
high precision (0.025/0.1 ‰ O-18/D)
minimal drift
measurements from liquids, vapor, and solids
different modes for different speed/precision trade-offs
